I have more pages to show you of yet another journal I have been working on. I have to say I had so much fun making this one and I would really like to share how this came together - I think I'd even like to do a class like this.
So let me explain, I hadn't worked on a journal in a while so I went to Michaels and just randomly picked up papers and stickers and a bunch of stuff that I just liked.
When I got home I sorted through everything and was really inspired primarily by the "Boho" 6 x 6 paper pack from Recollections I believe and by some of the Jane Davenport Stickers. And then I just got to work cutting and gluing and coloring.
Oh and I went to my paper stash and pulled out similar papers
And then I got down to work ...
Check this out. I drew the paisley shapes and then used the stickers of leaf shapes inside the paisley shapes - they turned out beautifully
I started gluing papers down and then continuing them onto the white page - see right hand page above. I started to see a pattern evolving in what I was doing
Aren't the colors great
I started repeating the patterns in the papers - at the bottom of both pages above I glued down paper and then I started repeating the shapes with markers and color
and then I started using the papers as a source for patterns - above is my interpretation of the doily on the left on the page below
And it goes on and on. I have many more pages to show you so I'll do a part II post and I may do a video flip through just for fun.
See you soon.
