So I must confess that I have been absolutely obsessed with these wall murals for the longest time. I think I had these pinned about 2 years ago.
Now of course they are popping up everywhere - but the one I had my eye on for the longest time was this one:
And even better for me ... I found it in blue.
So I decided to go for it ... in my bedroom. Because I had not selected any colors yet for my bedroom and my furniture was wood - I didn't have any competing colors. This would be my starting point. So although I am not completely done yet, I couldn't wait to show you how my wall mural looks in my new bedroom.
I love how this mural makes me feel when I wake up in the morning.
I ordered it from here LOVECOLORAY on etsy.
If you start looking around for these you will see they are NOT cheap. But I sourced everywhere I could think of and got by far the best price from this wonderful shop on etsy - I received great service, I had it custom sized and the delivery was quick. (Yes I was a little worried about ordering it from Poland and not having seen a sample but I took a chance and it so paid off.) If you are in the market for a mural please check out Dominika's site first - she has a lot of beautiful murals available.
For those of you wondering, I did install it myself. It comes in 3 pieces and is printed on a vinyl adhesive which is easily removable. If you do not have wallpapering experience I would say get a wallpaper professional to help you. If you do have wallpapering experience as I do, give it a go yourself. It's actually easier than putting up wallpaper. It comes away from the wall easily so that you can re-place it on your wall. Of course I did this alone because I absolutely had to have it up the afternoon I received it but it would have been even easier with 2 people.
My beige linen and toile curtains work well with the mural
I created a sweet little corner in one area of my bedroom
And included some lavender (from my friend Mel) and glass vignettes on the longer bureau.
I love the feel of this room - light and airy and filled with things I love!
