Creative Juices

 

I have an abundance of creative juices these days.  I almost can't contain myself for all the ideas to create I have in my mind. 

 

Sometimes these ideas come out in fits and bursts - right out of my sewing machine onto these hand dyed index (actually recipe
index) cards.  You know the kind - like the ones below - but I am making more, again because I cannot stop, and I will make these available for you in my shop.  These were some I made in the past:

 

Sometimes the ideas come out through my sketchbook like these where I seem to be trying to develop my own version of this style.  One of my regular readers asked me why I don't do an online class yet on these characters - well the answer is because these are totally inspired by Junelle Jacobsen and still have that Junelle feel until I develop them into my own.  That comes eventually, in time, but I still like to share them here with you.

 



 

Other times,  as ideas simmer, I go back to my trusty random doodling.  I say trusty because I can doodle without really focusing on
what I am doing unlike when I am sketching a face or some of the characters above.  For those I really have to concetrate and think about what I want the outcome to be.  When I doodle the kind of pieces below however I do them entirely without thinking,  I really just allow the colors and shapes to choose themselves and so I find this kind of work really relaxing, and peaceful and calming.

 

Other ideas that are stewing are more ideas for my spiral bound journals - I love these and I know those of you who found them in my etsy
shop also loved them.  I want to make more, more, more.  I want to have an endless supply of these to use, to giveaway and to stock as a staple in my shop.
