Last week in this post I said I would show you Part II of my backgrounds from my Focus on Backgrounds online class - now turned into foregrounds
The idea of the class is to get you started so that you don't have that fear of a blank page when you want to journal. So in the class we prepare all the backgrounds likes these.
In the class we do this background:
And here below is what I did after the class to show you how I turned the above background into this foreground journal page:
I added another wash of pink right over the paper we adhered at the edges of both pages. The floral pattern still shows through- just a little more subtle. A few words with stickers, another layer of paper and that was it - done!
Then there is this background that we do in the class which actually doesn't really need much more - I actually loved this as it was:
But come to think of it - I could add a few touches ...
I added a title at the top and a little ruled paper on the bottom of this page with the beautiful transferred image of this sweet little girl which we do in the class
and then on the page on the left I just went over the script with a random stamp covered in white paint and then added a little piece of wool lace - that was all it needed.
So much fun doing these and I hope you are enjoying seeing the transition from background to foreground as much as I am. Or maybe it's just because all I can do right now with this "hand" that I told you about in my previous post) is look at pictures - not work on them just yet ; (
Dont'f forget that this Friday is another giveaway and I think you will like this one as well so make sure to head back then.
Have a great, creative day
