First I wanted to tell you that I am having so much fun being part of the fb group Building a Creatively Made Business which is the ecourse I told you last week that I was taking given by Jeanne Oliver. So great seeing how everyone is trying to make their mark and how everyone is so willing to help each other out.
I promised to share all of their blog links with you for this Friday so that you can go blogging around! I always find that lots of fun - hitting a blog with lots of links to other blogs - talk about losing track of time.
Anyhow, yesterday I showed you my new professionally printed journals. Today I wanted to show you my truly handmade journal right down to the artwork inside and the binding (yes Margie with the bind-it-all).
Making these has been a labour of love. If you have been following me you know that I have been working on these journals for a while. I finally, finally received my shipment of o-wires which is the spiral binding on my books. I have all the inside pages and covers done and now I just have to put them all together.
So when I say these are handmade I have to say, they really are completely handmade. The covers are collaged and protected with several coats of varnish.
Each page in the journal was specifically picked to become a part of the journal the pages including full pages of watercolor papers in some cases, pretty colored cardstock papers in others. I have envelopes, and goodies stuffed inside and I have pages for lists and pages for dreams in others. I have reprints of my artwork, beautiful velum papers, and wax papers as well.
Today I am just showing you a preview of one of them because I am too excited to wait any longer. I will be binding the rest this weekend and then I will make them all available here and in the shop.
Obviously I love my new journals - they are so personal and I love each and every one of them. I can't wait to show you more this weekend. I hope you will love them as much as I do.
Have a good day all
