I thought I'd share some of my gift wrapping ideas as I get through my wrapping in the next week or so. I generally have a theme in my wrapping each year. This year the theme is rough and rustic! Nothing too glittery - but still pretty.
Here are some ideas for wrapping gifts that can be boxed.
Take a simple little gold box, wrapp it with regular household string in a random fashion going back to front. Tape the strings in the back of the box to maintain the pattern you created with the string. Next, cut a little strip of christmas paper to make a banner for the bottom part of the box. Use a little dab of glue stick or tape runner to adhere the strip at the back of the box. Add a cute little tag and you are done!
This one is wrapped in a Kraft type Christmas paper to keep with the rustic theme but you could do this with any wrapping. Taking the same. Wrap the string around the box in a random pattern. (You can dye this basic household string any color you like - In this case I dyed it pink). Take a small piece of green gift wrap ribbon - a piece just long enough to "loop". Tape the loop to the box right in the middle of your loop. Add a rustic or grubby-type tag and you are done!
To hold some of my little pendants which I will be giving as gifts this year, I used these plain little white boxes that I've had for while - but you can use any plain type of box. To make a tab to open the box I took a grubby tag and added a stick-on Christmas sentiment. I then punched a hole in the box and used a brad to attach the tag (which had a hole in it) to the front of the box. I then added a little strip of some pink glitter stickers I had and voila! Perfect packaging for small little items!
Enjoy!
