Seems like quite a while since I have written but I have been busy busy as usual.
I finally finished my order for my etsy purchaser Tory (3rd order for these tags). Tory I hope you don't mind that I placed your link here.
I thought I would show you the work in progress. They are now complete and in the mail - but here's how I got there ; )
First I do the sketches ...
and then I scan them
Getting the right size reduction for the tag size is the toughest and I didn't want to loose the
detail in the scan or in the reduction.
Then I had to do some testing with different glitter and different scissors...
And then the best part is adding the sparkle and knowing just where to put it so that you can still see some of the sketch lines ...
Then I also add beads for some extra fun, sometimes at the ribbon end and sometimes right on the dress as buttons ...
I trim the bottom with some fun scissors and trim the top to make it look more like a tag.
Some pretty ribbon and voila - you have a A "Girls Will be Girls" tag or two. Tory ordered ... 30 actually!!!
The final step- packaging is one of my favorite steps - always make sure the packaging is pretty too (I didn't take a pic cuz it was 5AM and I just wanted to get them in the mail today.)
And finally I always add a little gift - which I can't show you here cuz Tory might see...
So now, off to the next project ...
Gnite for tonite
